In Bucky's own words...
I was a punk rock atheist who had nowhere to turn but 12 Step recovery for help with my addiction. But there was a big "god problem"—I stopped believing in God when I left my fundamentalist upbringing, and a lot of meetings were in churches. I didn't think it would work for me. But after finding a meeting full of punks, ex-cons, and other weirdos, I did get sober and have been since 2002. There's room for misfits of all type in recovery.
